The historical disaster film "Pompeii" was made by the famous English film Director Paul William Scott Anderson. The plot of the film tells the romantic love story of an ordinary slave Milo and a girl from a rich and noble family, unfolded against the backdrop of the death of one of the greatest ancient Roman cities – Pompeii, which was completely buried under a thick layer of lava and ash as a result of the eruption of mount Vesuvius. Milo is the last of a kind of nomads who once lived on the Islands of Britain, which were completely destroyed by the Romans in 62 ad. His parents died and he was made a slave. One day, when he became a real man, Milo is transported to Pompeii, to participate in deadly gladiatorial battles. There he meets a girl Cassia, and between them almost immediately erupt feelings. They were not to be together, however, because he was a slave and she was from a wealthy family, and besides, she was soon to be the wife, albeit unwillingly, of a very powerful Roman Senator, Corvus.
